Welcome to Scrapbook Friday at My Cricut Craft Room . Today, we are making wedding layouts.  Perfect!!

One cold Day in November 2010, my son took his girlfriend, his best friend, his girlfriends best friend and his girlfriends father to Gillette Stadium to watch a Patriots game. Prior to entering the stadium, he asked her to marry him. (EVERYONE knew but her).  His friend took some great pics of these moments.

Since their wedding colors were green and purple (his favorite color is green, hers is purple), I am making their book in these colors. I used dark and light colored card stock of each color, as well as white.

I used the Elegant Edges cartridge to cut the light colors and the white card stock.  I used the Lace Edge on page 44 of the booklet.  I cut the light colors using the basic cut at 11 inches.  I then cut the white using the shadow feature at 7.5 inches.

To save a little money, I used the centers of the dark and light colored paper to make my picture mats.

After I cut the mat off the light paper, I traced it on the dark paper, then cut it out.

I then layered the papers.

I then added the white layer.

This is what the back looks like

The rings were made from Everyday Pop Up Cards cartridge, cut at 4 inches. After layering, they were outlined with diamond and gold Stickles.

She was so surprised!!

The embellishments were from Recollections.

Secret Project Time

It's secret project time. This happens once a month, but I will increase this if I need to. Who knows what God will do with this project.

This is a basic A2 size card. The base is a brown card stock from Recollections, the light color is a cream color is from the same pack.  The dark brown layer has a leather look and is from Die Cuts With A View Lodge paper stack.  The sentiments are from Close to My Heart.

This is the inside sentiment.

Happy Mothers Day!

I had never made a Tri-Fold card before, so decided to give it a try.  These are for my mother and mother in law.  I used their favorite colors as the base colors, my moms favorite color being yellow, and my mother in laws favorite color being blue.   The printed card stock on the yellow card was from SEI, the the blue/brown card stock on the blue card is from My Minds Eye.

I cut my base card stock at 12 X 5 1/2 inches, and scored at 2 inches, 4 inches, 8 inches, and 10 inches.  I then made 2 cuts, each 1 1/2 inch from top and bottom, from the 1st score line to the 2nd score line.  I then accordion folded at the score lines.  Then the folds of the middle are reversed.

When I layered the panels, each layer is cut 1/4 inch smaller.  I used simple embellishments that I had handy. I used the Spell Binders scalloped circle as well.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

My cartridges this month are Create A Critter, Paisley, and Art Philosophy.

Spring is here and summer is coming, In my family, summer means birthdays!  The first one being my oldest daughter who is about to turn 13!

She loves cupcakes!

This little cupcake was found in the Create A Critter cartridge. you can find it on page 36.  I cut it at 3 inches.   The "Happy Birthday" can be found on page 27 and cut at 2 inches.   the base layer was cut with the shift button. The cupcake paper was cut using the shift button + layer 1.  The icing was cut using the shift button +  layer 2, and the cherry was cut using the shift button + layer 3.  I put  a thin ribbon on the left side of the card

My youngest daughter is a girly girl, and she LOVES bags. so, I made this bag for her.  It is from the Art Philosophy cartridge, on page 23.  I used a 12X12 inch sheet of card stock, and cut it "fit to page" I used brads and buttons to dress it p a bit.

The little paisley design is from?.....you guessed it...the Paisley cartridge. You can find it on page 65, and is cut at 1.5 inches.   First I cut the base layer using the shift key.  I then cut the next layer with shift + layer 1, then shift + layer 2, then shift + layer 3

Welcome to Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room.  This is also May 3rd, the National Day of Prayer. So, that is our theme for today, National day of Prayer.

We have so much we need to pray for. The president, our government, the economy. And the list goes on.

On my card are 2 rosettes that I made from the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge.  I made the scallop rosette from page 21, using border 1"X 11".  I made the 1st score at 1/4 inch, then 1/3 inch for every other score. I then cut off the 1/4 inch fold.  The Rosettes are held together with hot glue.  Rosette centers are 1" circles with flower shaped buttons and rhinestones.  The circles were made with a circle punch, but you can also make them from the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge on page 21. The stem and leaf stamps and sentiment stamp are from Close To My Heart.  I also added small butterflies and use lilac pearl pen for the trails.

I will be using this as a sympathy card for a coworker whose 25y r old step son had died.
