Christmas will be here soon, and I love to bake for Christmas...and I do A LOT of it. When I was planning my "menu" of baked goods for this year, I noticed that my favorite cookbook is old ad falling apart. So, I decided to make myself a cookbook, scrapbook style. This is my first page, and will be in the "Christmas" section.
One of my favorite snacks during the Thanksgiving & Christmas holiday season is home made Ginger Snaps with dip them in Pumpkin Butter.
I used 4 cartridges for this layout.
I made a Ginger Snap cookie that I found in the From My Kitchen cartridge. It is on page 65 of the handbook using the cookie/shift feature, and is cut at 4 inches. I used while Gel Pen to write "Ginger Snaps" on the cookie.
I used Baby Steps cartridge to make the jar. It is found on page 66 of the hand book, and cut at 6 inches using Baby Food/layer1/shift features. It cuts out 2 connecting jars and I cut one of them off and used the jar on the right.
The pumpkin is cur from Create A Critter 2, and found on page 62 of the handbook, cut at 3 inches using the accessory/shift feature.
What is Christmas with out gift. This little gift was found in Birthday Bash cartridge, on page 27 of the handbook, and cut at 4 inches. using layer 1/shift feature for the package and layer 2 for the ribbon.
Here is my completed project. I am using red foil paper for the matting for the recipes.
For my next project, I used New Testament cartridge. The image of Baby Jesus is found on page 25 of the handbook and cut at 4 inches. You really can't tell by the picture, but the background paper is purple, and the writing is in Denim Blue.
Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteLisa, I love religous cards for Christmas. I think a lot of poeple tend to push that to the background during the season and I was really glad to see your card. The pumpkin butter jar was pretty cute too. You can send a jar this way if you like. :)
