I Have A New Toy!!

I first heard of this in April at CKC.  I did not buy one because they had run out, but I loved the card they made with it.  So, the search was on.  I could only find them online, and cost about $30.  I wanted the round one, but that one was hard to find...everyone was out of them.

Now, I live in small town New England. The closest ACMoore is about an hour drive away. If I want to drive half an hour, we have a small Michaels, and a small Joannes that has 1 1/2 small isles for paper crafts. No dies what so ever in that store.

This past Thursday, I went to a conference for work. On my way home, I saw a Hobby Lobby!  I had never seen one before but have seen them mentioned often in forums.  Come to find out, this is the ONLY Hobby Lobby in New England. But it is still over 2 hours drive away.  Anyway, I had to stop, and so glad I did!  They had Flip-Its!!  and they had the round one!  But they had only 1!  AND..it was ON SALE for 30% off!!!

I took a sheet of SEI 12X12 card stock and cut it in half. I did buy the crease pad. It works better with it, but it does OK without it too.

My sandwich consisted of  a cutting plate, the Flip-Its die, paper, then the crease pad. This is what I got.

You then fold on the creases made by the die.

This is the front showing the fold lines

This is the front when it is folded,  The circle in the middle is 3 1/2 inches

A little embellishment on the front of the circle

My finished card opened.

I know I am going to get a lot of use from this die!!
